Free Image Editing Software
Before you print out your digital photo images you may want to do some image editing to them first to improve their quality. This could include simple processes like cropping an image, changing the colour to black and white or sepia etc.
The good news is you don’t need to be an expert on the subject and you don’t even need expensive software like Adobe Photoshop. Below is a list of FREE image processing packages that I have tried and can highly recommend.
Paint.net More advanced imaging software, I have used this and can recommend it.
Serif Does the job, have used a it a few times myself.
Irfanview Basic image editing, does the job for quick jobs.
Gimp More advanced photo imaging suite for the more technologicaly minded person.
There are also some free online image processing sites which mean you don’t even need to download any software onto your computer.
http://www.picresize.com/ Is useful for cropping ad resizing an image.
http://www.resize2mail.com/ This is useful for resizing and image if it is too large.
This is not an exhaustive list there is more software out there, these are just ones I have tried and tested myself.
